Authentic Connection with Challenging Coursework
My mission is to empower students and help them see themselves as creative and capable thinkers and doers. Together we develop a mindset and next-level learning skills which enable them to succeed in tough courses and build their confidence for the challenges that lie ahead in school and in life.
I'm a New York City Teaching Fellow and a U.C. Berkeley graduate with a degree in Chemistry . I have experience doing lab research, teaching in public and private schools, and developing best-practices math programming at the Lawrence Hall of Science. I continue to deepen and broaden my practice with ongoing professional development. I take courses and attend workshops and meetings for educators and educational therapists:

When I'm not teaching...
- I develop informal learning workshops for general audiences. My most recent, Math Delights (sponsored by the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Association), featured crafts, puzzles, and mathematical curiosities.
- I enjoy backpacking, hiking, and learning about ecology and urban archaeology.
- I'm a volunteer for the Food Pantry at St. Gregory's Church
- I love storytelling, acting, and writing comedy.
- I completed the University of Pennsylvania certificate in Positive Psychology via Coursera and create curriculum for workshops.
- I enjoy learning, tinkering, fixing, crafting, and making stuff.
